I was inspired both by wanting to explore my personal history of being a weaver when I first left art school, to discovering what could be unearthed, rediscovered and reimagined by cutting up some of my old paintings and weaving other paintings of mine into them. I am motivated to explore, really letting go, and not having expectations of a preconceived outcome.
For this piece I chose two very different pieces of art, one vibrant still life and a dark moody portrait.
