Inspiration:
This work explores how linguistic diversity shapes our culture, behaviours and consciousness. Language reflects the culture of people who use it. We evolve as we learn foreign languages and interact with people who speak them. Languages we learn consequently shape our own identity and play a role how we communicate and being perceived by others. Is it always our choice what we adapt and what is left behind? Does our linguistic diversity give us a sense of belonging or alienation?
Materials and Process:
Mixed Media - acrylic, graphite, ceramic stucco, paper, pencil & oil stick on canvas.
